Use your child's favourite kind of apple for this salad, which also works well between two slices of bread. Include another container of carrots and cucumber and a dip to plunge them into. Add some cheese in another container and some crackers in a plastic bag. Your child will enjoy changing flavours with each bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 large unpeeled apples, cored and cut_into chunks
  • 1 can unsweetened pineapple chunks with juice, (8 oz) drained (optional)
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cubed Black Forest ham
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper

Preparation

In bowl, stir together apples, pineapple, celery, ham, yogurt, raisins, honey, salt and pepper.
