Everyone will enjoy this warm, hearty breakfast that guarantees a great start to a busy day.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups unsweetened apple juice or water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1-1/3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1/2 apple, peeled and diced
  • 1/3 cup raisins, (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

In saucepan, bring apple juice and salt to boil; whisk in rolled oats, apple, raisins (if using) and cinnamon. Reduce heat and simmer, whisking constantly, until desired thickness, 4 to 5 minutes.
