    3 cups (750 mL) unsweetened apple juice or water
    1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
    1-1/3 cups (325 mL) quick-cooking rolled oats
    Half apple, peeled and diced
    1/3 cup (75 mL) raisins (optional)
    1/2 tsp (2 mL) cinnamon

Preparation:

In saucepan, bring apple juice and salt to boil; whisk in rolled oats, apple, raisins (if using) and cinnamon. Reduce heat and simmer, whisking constantly, until desired thickness, 4 to 5 minutes.
