Apple Sausage Bake

Ingredients

Preparation:

Cut apples crosswise into 1/2-inch (1 cm) slices and cut core out of each slice. In large skillet, melt 2 tbsp (25 mL) butter and saut?pples gently until tender; arrange in shallow baking dish. Add remaining butter to skillet and saut?nion and celery with salt, and pepper to taste; spread over apples. Sprinkle parsley over.

Slice sausage diagonally and place over onion bed. Add an even layer of cheese. Toss together crumbs and butter and sprinkle over cheese.

Bake in 350°F (180°C) oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese has melted and crumbs are brown.
