You've probably noticed about 9 bajillion homemade comic strips popping up all over Facebook, lately. That's due to the explosion in popularity of an app called Bitstrips. It allows you to create an avatar in your (and your friends') likeness and then make your own custom comic strips. I've known about Bitstrips since it started, not because I'm a cutting edge hipster, but because I've known the guys on the Bitstrips team for years ( Lead Interactive Developer, Dorian Baldwin, is my brother's best and oldest friend and we all went to high school together with CEO and Creative Director, Jacob "Ba" Blackstock). It's been so gratifying seeing the popularity of Bitstrips growing daily and knowing that such a fun and creative Canadian concept is taking the world by storm! Well today, my worlds are colliding. One of my lovely co-workers, photo assistant Gen Shapira (who didn't even know my association with the Bitstrips guys!) gave me a custom cookie cutter and freshly baked shorbread cookies WITH MY FACE ON THEM! She had the cutters made with a 3D printer ... brilliant! Whaaaaat?! I'm losing my mind with the greatness of this present. Tell me: What's the best foodie gift you've ever received?
