Throwback Thursday - Canadian Living & The Blue Jays

Canadian Living & The Blue Jays 1994 Today's Throwback Thursday goes back to 1994 and this special collector's edition in collaboration with The Toronto Blue Jays. That's Pat Borders and his daughter on the cover. In 1994, The Blue Jays were the reigning two-time World Series champions, so Canadian Living asked the players, and their wives, to share their favourite dishes from home. Hits from Home How about the Spragues' Toasted Mushroom Bread, or the Craigs' Maryland Crab Cakes. Hits from Home2 Or Joe Carter's Corn Pudding, the Timlins' Jerked Chicken or John Olerud's mushroom, tomato and feta omelette. Hits from Home3 Juan Guzman's mother's Braised Goat is a classic from his native Dominican Republic. There is also the Knorrs' Hot-and-Spicy Chili and the Borders' Sweet Potato Casserole. Hits from Home4 Here are some of the Jays family desserts; ice cream cake and brownies. If you are in town, check out the Blue Jays at home this weekend against the Los Angeles Angels.
