This sour cream based icing is the cherry on top of our Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut.

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter , softened
- 2 cups icing sugar , sifted
- pinch salt
- 2 tablespoons sour cream (approx)
In bowl, beat butter on medium speed until fluffy, about 3 minutes. Reduce speed to low; beat in icing sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, until smooth. Beat in salt. Add sour cream; beat for 1 minute, scraping down side and adding up to 1 tbsp more sour cream if needed to reach desired consistency. Serve with Cinnamon Sugar Doughnuts.
Makes about 2 cups.
