Ingredients

Method

In small bowl, sift together sugar, cocoa powder and salt. Set aside.

In large bowl, drizzle butter over popcorn; toss to coat. Using sifter, dust with half of the sugar mixture; toss to coat. Dust with remaining sugar mixture; toss until well coated. Spread onto parchment paper– lined rimmed baking sheet.

In separate heatproof bowls set over saucepans of hot (not boiling) water, melt white chocolate and dark brown chocolate. Drizzle over popcorn. Refrigerate until set, about 15 minutes. Break into clusters.

Tip from The Test Kitchen: To make 8 cups popcorn: In large saucepan, heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil over medium heat; add 1/3 cup popcorn kernels. Cover, leaving lid slightly ajar for steam to escape, and cook, shaking pot occasionally, until popping slows, about 5 minutes.

Makes about 8 cups.
