Preparation

In bowl, beat water with meringue powder until foamy, about 2 minutes. Beat in icing sugar until stiff, adding up to 1 tbsp (15 mL) more water if necessary to make smooth pipeable icing, 3 to 5 minutes. Tint black with food colouring.
