Gather the kids — young and old — to bake up some treats. Encourage imaginations to run wild with the shapes and decorations, then sit back and watch all the creativity.
Ingredients
Preparation
Grease or line rimless baking sheets with parchment paper; set aside.
On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4-inch (5 mm) thickness. Using 3-inch (8 cm) cookie cutter, cut out shapes. With spatula, place shapes, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart, on prepared pans.
Bake in top and bottom thirds of 375°F (190°C) oven, rotating and switching pans halfway through, for about 10 minutes or until light golden on bottom and edges. Let cool on pans on rack for 1 minute. With spatula, transfer to rack; let cool completely.
Decorate with icing paint as desired. (Make-ahead: Store in airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 1 month.)
