Sometimes all you need is a piece of chocolate. Made of fruit, nuts and chocolate such as Lindt (70%), this bar not only beats cravings but also packs an antioxidant punch.

Ingredients

  • 3-1/2 oz quality bittersweet chocolate , chopped3-1/2 oz quality bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/3 cup dried sour cherries 1/3 cup dried sour cherries
  • 1/3 cup toasted slivered almonds 1/3 cup toasted slivered almonds

Preparation

In small heatproof bowl over saucepan of hot (not boiling) water, melt chocolate. Stir in cherries and almonds.

Spread in parchment paper-lined 9- x 5-inch (2 L) loaf pan, smoothing top and pushing into corners. Refrigerate until firm, about 1-1/2 hours. Cut into pieces.
