This is one of the prettiest summer drinks. It suits all ages and goes down as smoothly at an evening cocktail party as at a lazy afternoon gathering on the veranda.
Ingredients
- 1 cup 1cuphulled strawberrystrawberries
- 1/2 cup 1/2cupgranulated sugar
- 1/2 cup 1/2cuplemon juice
- 1-1/2 cups 1-1/2cupscold water
- Ice cubes
- 2 2unhulled strawberrystrawberries or mint sprigs
Preparation
Place hulled strawberries in blender or food processor. In bowl, combine sugar, lemon juice and 1/2 cup (125 mL) of the water, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add to berries; puree gradually adding remaining water, until mixture is smooth.
Serve over ice cubes in tulip-shaped glasses and garnish with unhulled berries or mint.
