"This is the perfect treat for hot summer days!" says recipe creator Heather Alaverdy. "Orange juice and vanilla yogurt is a great combination — experiment to find your fave." Pineapple juice concentrate and raspberry yogurt is a good flavour combo, too. The Kids Eat Smart Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador selected Heather's recipe from the Kid Approved Cookbook and submitted to celebrate Breakfast for Learning Month this year.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups plain or flavoured Yogurt 3 cups plain or flavoured Yogurt
  • 1 can (12.5 oz/355 mL) frozen concentrated juice , thawed1 can (12.5 oz/355 mL) frozen concentrated juice, thawed
  • 1/3 cup liquid honey 1/3 cup liquid honey
  • 1 tbsp vanilla 1 tbsp vanilla

Preparation

In medium bowl, mix yogurt, juice concentrate, honey and vanilla.

Pour into 3 oz/6 tbsp paper cups, filling 2/3 full. Freeze for 1 hour.

When almost frozen, insert wooden stir sticks. When completely frozen, peel off paper and enjoy.
