A vinegar sauce sounds like it could be too tart for beans, but, because balsamic vinegar is naturally sweeter, it adds a caramel note and a glossy glaze to the beans.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 lb green beans, cooked
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Preparation
In large skillet, heat oil over medium heat; fry onion and garlic, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 3 minutes. Add vinegar; cook, stirring, until onion is coated. Add beans, salt and pepper; toss to coat and heat through if necessary.
