Best Bloody Mary
This recipe makes 8 servings
This classic brunch drink also works as an aperitif with nibbles, especially cheese straws or crackers.
Ingredients
- 5 cups tomato juice 5 cups tomato juice or vegetable cocktail
- 1 cup vodka 1 cup vodka
- 1/4 cup lemon juice 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tbsp prepared horseradish 1 tbsp prepared horseradish
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce 1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce
- 1/4 tsp pepper 1/4 tsp pepper
- Coarse salt Coarse salt
- 8 slices lemon 8 slices lemon
- 8 small celery stalks 8 small celery stalks
Preparation
In pitcher, stir together tomato juice, vodka, lemon juice, horseradish, Worcestershire and hot pepper sauces and pepper. Top with ice.
Serve in glasses rimmed with coarse salt and garnished with lemon and celery.

Variations
Best Danish Mary: Use aquavit instead of vodka.
Best Gin Mary: Use gin instead of vodka.
