You'll be surprised at how much tastier one of Canada's best-loved drinks is with this homemade mix. Bottled clam juice is available at most supermarkets.

Ingredients

    1 bottle (240 mL) clam_juice
    4-1/2 cups (1.125 L) tomato_juice or vegetable cocktail
    1 cup (250 mL) vodka
    2 tbsp (25 mL) lime juice
    1 tbsp (15 mL) prepared horseradish
    1 tbsp (15 mL) Worcestershire_sauce
    1/2 tsp (2 mL) hot_pepper sauce
    1/4 tsp (1 mL) pepper
    celery_salt
    8 slices lime
    Small stalks celery

Preparation

In pitcher, stir together clam and tomato juices, vodka, lime juice, horseradish, Worcestershire and hot pepper sauces and pepper. Top with ice.

Serve in glasses rimmed with celery salt and garnished with lime and celery.
