We took a cocktail traditionally made with ruby Port and brandy and lightened it up with white Port and effervescent white wine. Champagne flutes are the prettiest choice for this refreshing aperitif.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz white port (2 tbsp)
  • 1/2 oz orange-flavoured liqueur (1 tbsp)
  • 4 oz chilled sparkling white wine (1/2 cup)
  • lemon twist

Method

Pour Port and liqueur into chilled champagne flute; top with sparkling wine. Garnish with lemon twist.
