Could you recommend the best frozen puff pastry to buy? I find most have no butter. I would like one with real butter.

If you want puff pastry made with butter you will either have to purchase it from a specialty food store or bakery or make it yourself as the stuff in grocery store is mass produced and contains trans fats for shelf life purposes. Making real puff pastry is quite an undertaking, but we have a "quick puff" recipe that is easily made in the food processor and chilled for just an hour. This pastry is made with a greater quantity of butter than regular pie pastry, which makes it light and puffy. Plus, it freezes well, either as a pastry block or as canapés, etc. Check out the recipe here and see Holiday Baking 2004 appetizer ideas using puff pastry.
