I made turkey noodle soup from leftover cooked turkey that was originally frozen. I made the soup in the crockpot, low for 12 hours. Can I now freeze the soup? Thanks, Dianne

Yes, you can freeze the soup. Put it into smaller containers and let it cool for 30 minutes at room temperature. Refrigerate, uncovered, until it is cold then cover and freeze for up to 1 month. Cooling it in smaller amounts ensures that the soup cools quickly and there are no food safety issues to worry about. Heather Howe Test Kitchen Manager
