Make this time-tested classy aperitif with any dry sparkling wine.

Ingredients

1/4 cup 1/4cupbrandy
2 tsp 2tspgranulated sugar
1/4 tsp 1/4tspbitters
1 1orangeoranges, thinly sliced
1 1bottle champagne or dry sparkling wine, chilled

Preparation

In pitcher, stir together brandy, sugar and bitters. Add orange slices; pour in Champagne.
