Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
Randy McLaren from Harriet Todd Public School submitted these lacy oat snaps that you can serve as a treat.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup (125 mL) butter
2 cups (500 mL) granulated sugar
1/3 cup (75 mL) cocoa powder
Pinch salt
1/2 cup (125 mL) milk
2 cups (500 mL) quick cooking oats (not instant)
1 cup (250 mL) coconut
Preparation:
In large bowl, beat butter until creamy. Add sugar; beat until well combined. Blend in cocoa and sa< add milk, a little at a time, stirring until well combined. Add rolled oats and coconut; stir until well combined.
Drop spoonfuls of dough, 4 inches (10 cm) apart, onto parchment or waxed paper-lined rimless baking sheet. Bake in 350°F (180°C) oven until lacy all over and crisp at the edges, 6 to 7 minutes. Let cool completely on rack.
