How long can you marinate chicken for? I started to marinate some yesterday morning, and it's still in the fridge uncooked. Is it okay to cook it just over a day or so after it has been marinating raw for that long?

Hello Pat,

This is no problem with your chicken. In fact,  you can marinate chicken for a couple of days before cooking. If it goes longer than that and you don’t have time to cook it, place the chicken - marinade and all - into a zip-up freezer bag and freeze it for up to two months. When you're ready to cook your chicken, defrost overnight in the fridge before cooking. This is a great way to get ahead on your weeknight cooking!

Thanks for the question,
Christine
