Cinnamon Munchie Mix
This recipe makes 8 cups servings
This is another favourite from the Morning Munchers Breakfast Program at Mildmay Carrick Public School.
Ingredients
- 6 cups assorted Cereal Mix
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 cups assorted dried fruit
Preparation
Place cereal mixture in large bowl; set aside.
Place margarine, brown sugar and cinnamon in small microwaveable bowl; microwave at high for 30 seconds. Pour over cereal mixture and stir well to coat.
Pour mixture onto greased, rimmed baking sheet; bake in 300°F (150°C) oven, stirring once, for 30 minutes.
Let cool in pan. Add dried fruit; stir to combine.
Store in airtight container for up to 1 week.
Cereal Mix: Choose from Cheerios, Chex, All Bran, Mini Shredded Wheat, pretzels, goldfish crackers and sunflower seeds to make 6 cups (1.5 L).
Dried Fruit: Choose from raisins, craisins, currants, chopped dried apples and apricots.
