Classic Mashed Potatoes

  • 2 lb 2lbpotatopotatoes, (about 5)
  • 1/2 cup 1/2cuphot milk
  • 1/4 cup 1/4cupchopped fresh herbs
  • 2 tbsp 2tbspbutter
  • 1/2 tsp 1/2tspsalt
  • 1/4 tsp 1/4tsppepper

Peel and cut potatoes into chunks. Cook, covered, in pot of boiling salted water for 15 to 20 minutes or until fork-tender; drain well. With potato masher, mash until smooth.

Mix in hot milk, chopped fresh herbs, butter, salt and pepper.
