Rheanna Kish loves this Italian soda-style cocktail with flavourful Illy Espresso Liqueur. Or try it with Starbucks coffee liqueur, which will be making its appearance soon. A good match would be Fruit and Nut Crostini.

3 orange wedges
1 oz (25 mL) coffee liqueur
1 oz (25 mL) vanilla-flavoured or plain vodka
4 oz (125 mL) ginger ale
Preparation:
Fill brandy snifter or highball glass with ice. Squeeze 1 of the orange wedges over ice, twisting rind to release oils; discard rind. Add coffee liqueur and vodka; stir in ginger ale. Garnish with remaining orange wedges.

Nonalcoholic Coffee Soda: Replace liqueur with 2 oz (50 mL) cold strong espresso. Replace vodka with dash of vanilla.
