Rheanna Kish loves this Italian soda-style cocktail with flavourful Illy Espresso Liqueur. Or try it with Starbucks coffee liqueur, which will be making its appearance soon. A good match would be Fruit and Nut Crostini.

Ingredients

  • 3 wedges of orange
  • 1 oz coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz vanilla flavoured or plain vodka
  • 4 oz ginger ale

Preparation

Fill brandy snifter or highball glass with ice. Squeeze 1 of the orange wedges over ice, twisting rind to release oils; discard rind. Add coffee liqueur and vodka; stir in ginger ale. Garnish with remaining orange wedges.

Additional information :

Variation
Nonalcoholic Coffee Soda: Replace liqueur with 2 oz (50 mL) cold strong espresso. Replace vodka with dash of vanilla.
