The most refreshing way to enjoy tea before summer is over

This thirst-quenching drink is perfect to sip on during the last days of summer.

Sure, a hot mug of tea is always delicious, but we’d much rather sip on an ice cold cocktail while summer is still here! This citrusy drink is steeped with green tea and can be enjoyed as a non-alcoholic cocktail, or infused with scotch and gin. Cheers!

Ingredients

1 1⁄4 oz fresh lemon juice

1 oz. teapigs green tea with mint syrup

1 oz. teapigs green tea with mint (chilled)

2 oz. Fever Tree Ginger Beer

Preparation

Combine and shake/strain into old-fashioned/rocks glass with ice. Garnish with a lemon wheel and serve with a straw.

How to infuse drinks with tea

Spirits

To infuse the scotch and gin, tear the tea bags open and empty the contents into a jar or bottle. Six to eight tea bags should be all you need to infuse a bottle. It only takes about 2 to 3 hours to infuse but be sure to taste it. Strain the contents and enjoy.

Syrup

To create the syrup, boil water and let a few tea bags steep for about an hour and then strain it out - be sure to taste it. For a small batch, a few tea bags will do just fine. Then, stir in equal parts sugar and the tea steeped water until everything is dissolved.
