Creamy Cauliflower and Broccoli Crunch
This recipe makes 8 servings
This terrific winter salad is adapted from the best-seller Fare for Friends (Key Porter Books). It's a pleasant change from the usual tossed salads.
Ingredients
- 5 cups sliced broccoli florets, (1 bunch)
- 4 cups sliced cauliflower florets, (1 small head)
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup light mayonnaise
- 1 cup light sour cream
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 Dash Worcestershire sauce
Preparation
In large bowl, combine broccoli, cauliflower and onion. Stir together mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce; pour over vegetables and toss. (Salad can be covered and refrigerated for up to 2 hours.)
