Dairy-Free Chocolate Fondue

The best part about fondue is that your guests do most of the work— and kids love it. This recipe is versatile: It doubles easily to serve a larger crowd, but it also makes for lovely individual desserts served in espresso cups with a bit of fruit and matzo alongside.

Stir boiling water with espresso powder; set aside.

In heatproof bowl over saucepan of hot (not boiling) water, melt together chocolate, coconut milk, sugar and salt.

Stir in espresso mixture until smooth. Pour into fondue pot or espresso cups; keep warm. Serve with fruit and matzo for dipping.

Tip from The Test Kitchen: Coconut milk sometimes separates in the can, making it look curdled and unappealing. Just give it a whisk to recombine and to make it easier to pour.
