Ingredients

1 egg
2 tbsp (30 mL) Dijon mustard
1/4 cup (60 mL) finely grated Canadian Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup (60 mL) dry bread crumbs
1/4 tsp (1 mL) each salt and pepper
1 lb (500 g) lean ground turkey
4 hamburger buns
1 avocado, peeled, pitted and thinly sliced
1 tomato, thinly sliced
Smoky Cheese Mayonnaise:
1/4 cup (60 mL) light mayonnaise
2 tbsp (30 mL) barbecue sauce
1/2 cup (125 mL) shredded Canadian Monterey Jack cheese (2 oz/60 g)
Preparation
Grill, covered, on greased grill or in grill pan over medium-high heat, turning once, until no longer pink inside, about 10 minutes.
Smoky Cheese Mayonnaise:
Stir mayonnaise with barbecue sauce; stir in cheese.
Split buns; spread with mayonnaise mixture. Sandwich burgers, avocado and tomato in buns. Makes 4 servings.
