FOOD TIP: July 20 - 24, 2009:

A mess-free way to cut fresh corn from the cob:

If you want to cut fresh, local corn off the husk for freezing, use your bundt cake pan. Place your corn cobs upside down in the centre of your bundt pan. When you start slicing the kernels off the cobs, the corn will fall into the bundt pan and not all over your counter. To freeze, blanch the corn for 2 minutes in boiling water, drain, dry and then freeze.

- This week's tip is by Bonnie Basden from Belle River, Ont.

Bonnie could win $100. Find out how you could too!
