FOOD TIP: July 27 - 31, 2009:

How to avoid boiled-cabbage smell:

The best tip I've ever received is to add a few pieces of celery to cooking water when boiling cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower or cabbage. The celery completely changes the aroma from that offensive "boiled cabbage" smell to fresh vegetables. Boiling a bit of celery is also a great room freshener overall, especially if your house smells musty or stale.

- This week's tip is by Ingrid Cope from Stoney Creek, Ont.

Ingrid could win $100. Find out how you could too!
