Affogato – a powerful shot of espresso poured over creamy dulce de leche ice cream – is the perfect ending to the meal and a sweet beginning to the rest of the evening. If you don't have an espresso machine, buy quality instant espresso powder from a specialty grocer.
- 1/2 cup 1/2cupdulce de leche ice cream, or caramel-flavoured ice cream
- 1/2 bar (39 g bar) 1/2 bar (39 g bar)chocolate toffee, (such as Skor), coarsely chopped
- 1/4 cup 1/4cupfreshly brewed hot espresso
Divide ice cream between 2 small bowls or demitasse cups. Sprinkle with chocolate toffee bits; pour espresso over top.
