Shower menu for 16 By The Canadian Living Test Kitchen

New flavours, easy methods and great make-ahead instructions - from two weeks ahead to the final hour - update a classic shower menu and make party planning easy.

Shower work schedule - Up to 2 weeks ahead:
• Make and freeze unbaked Mini Cheddar and Onion Galette Bites.
• Make and freeze Mini Smoked Salmon Quiches.
• Make and freeze Maid of Honour Squares.
• Make and freeze Chocolate Bar Brownies.

Up to 2 days ahead:
• Make Roasted Vegetable Hummus.
• Make White Chocolate Cheesecake Dip.
• Make Strawberry Shortbread.

Up to 24 hours ahead:

• Prepare Creamy Herbes de Provence Dip.
• Prepare vegetable crudités.
• Thaw quiches, brownies and squares.

Up to 4 hours ahead:
• Refresh crudités in ice water if wilted.
• Prepare fruit for White Chocolate Cheesecake Dip.
• Cut brownies and squares. Sprinkle Maid of Honour Squares with icing sugar.
• Bring White Chocolate Cheesecake Dip to room temperature.

Just before serving:
• Bake or warm Onion Galette Bites.
• Reheat quiches.
