Fresh Corn Relish (see recipe link below) is all you need on top of this irresistible crowd-pleasing cheeseburger.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (10 inches/25 cm) round loaf bread

Preparation

In bowl, beat eggs. Stir in crumbs, onion, mustard, Worcestershire, salt and pepper; mix in beef. On rimless baking sheet, shape into 9-inch (23 cm) patty. Slide onto greased grill over medium-high heat; close lid and cook for 10 minutes. Slide onto clean sheet; invert onto plate and slide back onto grill. Cook for 15 minutes or until thermometer registers 170°F (75°C). Top with cheese; cook just until melted.

Cut bread horizontally into thirds; reserve centre for another use. Sandwich patty between remaining layers.

Serve with: Fresh Corn Relish
