Ingredients

- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil 2 2tbsp tbspextra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs 1/2 1/2cup cupfresh bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil 1/4 1/4cup cupchopped fresh basil or Italian parsley
- 1/4 cup grated provolone cheese 1/4 1/4cup cupgrated provolone cheese
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese 2 2tbsp tbspgrated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp grated lemon rind 1/2 1/2tsp tspgrated lemon rind
- 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 1/2tsp tsppepper
Preparation
Place, cut side up, in shallow baking dish. Drizzle with oil. Stir together bread crumbs, basil, provolone and Parmesan cheeses, lemon rind and pepper; sprinkle over fennel. Bake in 375°F (190°C) oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until tender and cheese is golden brown.
