Fiery Bloody Marys with Cucumber Spears
Particularly enticing to creatures who drink blood, this Bloody Mary is a little spicy. You can lighten up on the horseradish, hot pepper sauce and vodka if you like. For the virgin version, omit the vodka entirely.

Ice cubes
1/4 cup (50 mL) vodka
1 tsp (5 mL) horseradish
1/2 tsp (2 mL) worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp (1 mL) pepper
1/4 tsp (1 mL) hot pepper sauce
1 cup (250 mL) tomato juice
1 wedge lime
1 cucumber spear
Preparation:
Fill tall glass with ice. Add vodka, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and hot pepper sauce.
Stir in tomato juice; squeeze lime over top. Serve with cucumber spear.

Tip: To cut cucumber spears, peel and halve cucumber lengthwise; seed and cut in half crosswise. Cut each half lengthwise into 4 spears.
