This is an intriguing and fun way to serve garlic bread.
Ingredients
- 1/2 baguette 1/2 1/2baguettebaguettes
- 24 cherry tomatoes 24 24cherry tomatocherry tomatoes
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil 1/4 1/4cup cupextra-virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic , minced2 2cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp sweet paprika 1/2 1/2tsp tspsweet paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried Italian herb seasoning 1/2 1/2tsp tspdried Italian herb seasoning
- 2 tbsp grated romano cheese , (optional)2 2tbsp tbspgrated romano cheese, (optional)
Preparation
Cut baguette in half lengthwise; cut into 1-inch (2.5 cm) chunks. Alternately skewer 3 pieces of bread and 2 tomatoes onto each of 12 metal or soaked wooden skewers.
In small bowl, combine oil, garlic, paprika and herb seasoning; brush over skewers.
(Make-ahead: Cover and set aside for up to 2 hours.)
Place skewers on greased grill over medium heat; close lid and grill, turning once, until golden and crisp, about 8 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese (if using).

Southwestern Garlic Bread Skewers: Replace paprika with chili powder and Italian herb seasoning with dried oregano.
