Garlic Bread with Cheese
Garlicky and with plenty of cheese, this popular accompaniment is a real crowd-pleaser. Use other mild cheese (such as mozzarella or Swiss) or sharp cheese (such as Cheddar or Gruy?) to suit your taste.

1 baguette (French_stick)
1/4 cup (50 mL) butter, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp (25 mL) chopped fresh parsley
1 cup (250 mL) shredded asiago or fontina cheese
Preparation:
Cut baguette in half crosswise; cut each in half horizontally.
In small bowl, stir together butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley and pinch each salt and pepper; spread over cut sides of baguette.
Place baguette on rimmed baking sheet; sprinkle with cheese. Bake in 425°F (220°C) oven until cheese is bubbly and bread is golden, about 12 minutes.
