Garlicky Steamed Broccoli

- 1 lb 1lbbroccoli
- 2 tbsp 2tbspvegetable oil
- 1 1small oniononions, chopped
- 3 3cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp 1/2tspeach salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup 1/4cupwater
Cut broccoli into florets; peel and chop stalks. Set aside.
In large skillet, vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry onion, garlic, salt and pepper, stirring occasionally, until onion is softened, about 4 minutes.
Add broccoli florets and stalks and water; cover and steam until water is evaporated and broccoli is tender, about 5 minutes.
