Ingredients

  • 4-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup skim milk powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup shortening

Preparation

In large bowl, stir together flour, skim-milk powder, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Using pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in shortening until mixture resembles fine crumbs. (Mix can be refrigerated in airtight container for up to 2 months. Stir well before using.)
