Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup sliced almonds , crushed2/3 cup sliced almonds, crushed
  • 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 lb green beans , trimmed1 lb green beans, trimmed

Preparation

In skillet, toast almonds over medium-high heat just until golden, about 4 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Add 3/4 cup (175 mL) water, butter and salt to skillet; bring to boil. Add beans; reduce heat, cover and simmer until bright green, about 3 minutes.

Uncover and simmer, turning beans often, until tender and no liquid remains, about 8 minutes. Toss with almonds.
