6 cups (1.5 L) torn mixed salad greens
1/4 cup (50 mL) toasted chopped pecans
Cranberry poppy seed Dressing:
1/4 cup (50 mL) coarsely chopped dried cranberries
2 tbsp (25 mL) vegetable oil
2 tbsp (25 mL) white_wine_vinegar
2 tsp (10 mL) poppy seeds
Pinch each salt, pepper and granulated sugar
Preparation:
Cranberry Poppy Seed Dressing: In large bowl, whisk together cranberries, oil, vinegar, poppy seeds, salt, pepper and sugar.
Add salad greens and toss to coat. Sprinkle with pecans.

Variation
Greens with Rosemary Balsamic Dressing: Omit Cranberry Poppy Seed Dressing. Substitute 3 tbsp (50 mL) extra-virgin olive oil; 2 tbsp (25 mL) balsamic vinegar; 1 tsp (5 mL) crumbled dried rosemary; 1 clove garlic, minced; and pinch each salt and pepper.
