A whole glazed ham is a joy for Easter dinner. But the next day? Sandwiches? Or one of our three-step suppers that makes the most of ham's succulent leftovers.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb ham , chopped1/2 1/2lb lbham, chopped
- 1/4 cup light sour cream 1/4 1/4cup cuplight sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1/4 1/4cup cupmayonnaise
- 1 stalk celery , chopped1 1stalk stalkcelery, chopped
- 1 carrot , grated1 1carrotcarrots, grated
- 1 tsp sweet mustard 1 1tsp tspsweet mustard
- 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 1/2tsp tsppepper
- Lettuce leaves Lettuce leaves
Preparation
Combine ham, sour cream, mayonnaise, celery, carrot, sweet mustard and pepper.
Cut off top third of Vienna loaf lengthwise; hollow out top and bottom, leaving 1/2 inch (1 cm) thick walls. Line with lettuce leaves.
Spread ham mixture into bottom half. Return top and press firmly.
