Hazelnut Coffee and Cream Liqueur

This sweet and creamy liqueur with its robust coffee flavour and subtle accent of hazelnut is ideal after a festive meal.

  • 1/4 cup 1/4cupdark-roasted coffee beans
  • 1 cup 1cupvodka
  • 1 cup 1cupwhipping cream
  • 1 1sweetened condensed milk
  • 3/4 cup 3/4cuphazelnut liqueur, (such as Frangelico)
  • 2 tsp 2tspvanilla

In coffee grinder, coarsely grind coffee beans. In airtight container, combine ground beans with vodka; seal and let stand in cool, dark place for 5 days.

Strain through coffee filter or cheesecloth-lined strainer into 8-cup (2 L) measure; discard coffee grounds. Whisk in cream, condensed milk, liqueur and vanilla. Pour into decorative bottles and seal. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.)
