Simply rolling goat cheese in fresh herbs or other flavour combinations makes an easy, pretty hors d'oeuvre. Crumbled leftovers make a salad seem extra special. Trim the log ends for a clean appearance.

Ingredients

  • 1 (4 oz/125 g) log soft goat cheese 1 (4 oz/125 g) log soft goat cheese

Preparation

Spread herbs on plate; roll goat cheese in herbs to lightly cover. Wrap with plastic wrap. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate for up to 2 days.)

Variations
Peppercorn Goat Cheese Log: Replace herbs with cracked mixed peppercorns.

Cranberry Goat Cheese Log: Replace herbs with 1/4 cup (50 mL) minced dried cranberries, rolling and pressing to make cranberries stick and keep log shape.
