Ingredients

  • 3 cups long-grain brown rice , rinsed

Method

In large pot, bring rice and 4 1/2 cups cold water to boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer until water is absorbed, 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from heat; let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork.

Transfer rice to baking sheet set over rack, spreading in even layer; let cool completely, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes.

Makes 10 cups.
