Maple Leaf Sour
This maple-flavoured adaptation of a whisky sour should please both patriots and Toronto hockey fans alike. Be sure to use real maple syrup and look for maple sugar at specialty shops.

Ingredients:

1-1/2 cups (375 mL) rye whisky
3/4 cup (175 mL) lemon juice
1/3 cup (75 mL) maple syrup
Maple sugar and/or lemon slices
Preparation:
In pitcher, stir together whisky, lemon juice and maple syrup until blended. Top with ice; stir until well chilled.
Serve in glasses rimmed with maple sugar and/or garnished with lemon.
