Marzipan-Stuffed Christmas Dates

Use plump, sweet Medjool dates for these simple no-bake four-ingredient treats. When decoratively wrapped, they make fantastic hostess gifts.

  • 1/2 cup 1/2cupdried apricotdried apricots
  • 1/2 cup 1/2cupshelled pistachioshelled pistachios
  • 1 pkg 1pkg(200 g) marzipan
  • 46 46Medjool dates

Finely chop apricots and pistachios. In bowl and using hands, mash together marzipan, apricots and pistachios. Divide into 46 pieces of about 1 tsp (5 mL) each; roll each into 1-1/4-inch (3 cm) log.

Cut each date down 1 side of centre to expose pit; open gently and remove pit. Press marzipan log into hollow. Serve at room temperature. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 3 weeks.)
