Whether it's friends dropping by to catch up, your family popping in to say hello or the neighbours stopping in to have coffee, make the visit special with sweet or savoury homebaked goods from your oven ands dressed-up coffee and tea.

Specialty Drinks

Cappuccino: Brew 2-2/3 cups (650 mL) espresso coffee. Place 1-1/3 cups (325 mL) hot whole milk in blender or frother and whip for about 1 minute or until frothy. Pour coffee into 4 cups or mugs; top with milk. Sprinkle with shaved chocolate and cinnamon if desired. Makes 4 servings.

Café Latte: Heat 4 cups (1 L) whole milk in saucepan or microwave until steaming. Pour 4 cups (1 L) strong hot coffee into 4 large mugs simultaneously with milk. Sprinkle with cinnamon and shaved chocolate if desired. Makes 4 servings.

Chai Tea: Crush 12 green cardamom pods to expose seeds; place in saucepan. Add 2 cups (500 mL) each milk and water, 4 whole cloves and 1-inch (2.5 cm) piece of fresh gingerroot, sliced; bring to boil. Reduce heat; simmer for 5 minutes. Add 2 tbsp (25 mL) black tea or 2 tea bags; remove from heat. Cover; steep for 5 minutes. Strain into mugs. Makes 4 servings.
