Galloping gourmets: Hearty breakfasts
From the time we were little kids, the Stampede, Canada’s largest annual event, has been one of our Canadian icons, right up there with Niagara Falls, the Stanley Cup and a juicy steak. What an amazing opportunity, we thought, to take in some of Calgary’s famed hospitality and the excitement of the rodeo. Because the pancake breakfast is woven into the fabric of Calgary’s western welcome, we used it as the starting point for this summer breakfast buffet.
