Sweet yet tangy pork chops appeal to everyone in the family. They need only whole grain rice and your favourite steamed vegetable to fill the plate.

Ingredients

  • 4 pork loin chops, (3/4 inch/2 cm thick)
  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) liquid honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp grainy mustard
  • 1/2 tsp (2ml) each salt and pepper

Preparation

Trim any fat from pork chops. Combine honey, Dijon and grainy mustards, salt and pepper; brush over both sides of pork chops.

Place on greased grill over medium heat or under broiler; close lid and grill, turning once, until juices run clear when chops are pierced and just a hint of pink remains inside, 8 to 10 minutes.

Additional information :

Tip: To cook chops on stove top, heat 2 tsp (10 mL) vegetable oil in skillet and cook chops over medium-high heat for same amount of time.
